Biography
Jim
Krogle,
A Southern California
native, Jim was raised in the San Fernando Valley
and moved with his family to Huntington Beach in 1963.
He began his studies
in the field of art at Orange Coast College in Costa
Mesa. Jim then transferred to Chouinard Art Institute
in Los Angeles, where he received his bachelors degree
in illustration in 1969. More than 20 years of commercial
illustration followed, honoring Jim with numerous
awards in the field of advertising. Some of his distinguished
clients
included, Disney, Sunkist, Kal Kan, Kelloggs, Jack-in-the-Box,
Carls Jr., Ford, Honda, Toyota, and Universal Studios.
In
1991 Jim began his fine art career with a series of
six scenes of Avalon on Catalina Island. His portfolio
of landmarks now include scenes along the Southern
California coast from San Diego to Huntington Beach,
and new editions are always in the works.
The influence of Jims
extensive career as an American Illustrator, is evident
in his clear, crisp, pen and ink and watercolor renderings
of famous landmarks and ocean scenes.
Jims work presents
a harvest of good memories; souvenirs of places seen
and loved by locals and tourists alike.
